Rail and Sea Tours

There are a number of ways that you can enjoy this very popular tourist area, but sometimes it is nice to make a real day of it and do something unusual. We recommend that you consider adding a day out at sea or if you lack the ‘sea legs’, step back into the past with a railway journey through our largely unspoilt countryside. If you find yourself wanting to discover what to do in Cornwall, perhaps these suggestions will help.

Bodmin & Wenford Railway

Discover the excitement and nostalgia of steam travel with a journey back in time on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway – Cornwall’s only full size railway still operated by steam locomotives.

Relax in style and enjoy a leisurely 13 mile round trip through beautiful countryside, taking in the sights, sound and smells of a bygone age, as the era of a Cornish branch line in the 1950s reveals itself during the course of your journey. Link

Padstow Boat Trips

Hire the boat and your skipper will take you anywhere you would like to go.  Up to Boscastle for an ice cream, Newquay for lunch or maybe down to the lifeboat station for a picnic.  The North Cornish coast is your playground.  Picnics available on request.  Prices on request.

An opportunity to view the wide variety of sea life that occupies the North Cornish waters and coastline at different times of the year such as seals, porpoises, dolphins & even giant basking sharks. In Spring & Summer the cliffs are alive with Guillemots, Cormorants, Razorbills & Oystercatchers, if you are fortunate you may even see Puffins on “Puffin Island”. Link

Bed & Breakfast

Bed and Breakfast accommodation is now available again. However, we are still slightly limited by the gradual lifting of restrictions.

Because of the increase in work, ensuring that rooms are made safe for our guests, we shall have to impose a minimum two night’s stay for room bookings and hope that our customers and friends will understand our difficulties.

With so much to see in this beautiful part of Cornwall, we are sure you will find an extra day or two, can only ever be a bonus!

The pub is open for business and we will do everything we can to deliver the best experience we can under present circumstances.

Local businesses like ours need your help in these times, so please come and support us. You will be most welcome!
