May Reopening After Covid 19 Closure
Table Reservations
Table service is only via pre-booking your table and confirming the number of places required. Limited numbers requires that you must call to arrange a table reservation and that email enquiries shall not be considered as a booking. Additionally, we cannot accept email confirmations, as the increasing number of ‘no shows’ throughout the hospitality sector have escalated dramatically since the new guidelines came into force.
This does however mean that genuine bookings will not be turned away when tables are still available, and this will be fairer to everyone.
What are the rules?
Table service only via pre-booking. Call to arrange.
The biggest change is that for the foreseeable future customers will have to ‘check in’ before you sit down. The Prime Minister has ordered that pubs and restaurants must ask customers to provide contact details when they arrive to help the NHS track and trace programme.
Pubs, bars, and restaurants will be allowed to open both indoor and outdoor sections from May 17th if they operate on a ‘table-service basis’, without people ordering or drinking at the bar area.
Who can I go to pubs and restaurants with?
If people stay at least two metres away from anyone they do not live with or share a ‘bubble’ with, such as physically close working colleagues, close family groups etc. they are currently permitted to meet in groups of six. This ‘social distancing’ limit is to be relaxed to ‘one metre plus’ from 17th May.
From Monday 17th May, people will be able to meet with those from another household, indoors, if these new social distancing restrictions are maintained.
The post-Covid regulations are an evolving issue, so we may expect further changes as the country begins to return to normal. When such changes occur, we will post them here for your information.
